About

Government Documents are a rich source of information. Pius XII Memorial Library (Depository #0323) has been a designated Federal Depository Library since 1866, giving us a strong historical collection combined with electronic access to current governmental information. We serve the students, faculty, and staff of Saint Louis University as well as the citizens of Missouri’s First Congressional District.  The majority of the documents collection are located in the Locust Street Storage Facility and newer materials are listed in the Saint Louis University Libraries Catalog. However, many older materials are not cataloged, so please ask for help at the reference desk. The reference librarians provide assistance with government information in all subject areas and formats.

This blog and why we are doing it…

The former government documents librarian (that’s me) and my assistant (that’s Jesse) have been producing a semi-official weblog for the last few years, and now it is here, live, and open to all. I have to admit that it is partisan, biting, and irreverent. However, all our entries have a link to an official government publication. Take a peek, if you dare, and feel free to toss a barb back at us (although we retain the right to edit or disregard your comments).
